The Design Process

I work with clients to help their ideas come to life, to create beautiful yet functional websites using Squarespace. Squarespace is a website you use to make websites! I like it because there are lots of fantastic designs and styles to choose from, the functionality is great and, most importantly, it is user-friendly enough for clients to edit or update their website themselves after the initial build is done.

First Call or Meeting

I like to have an initial phone call and then a meeting to understand what you want to create, the functionality the website needs to have, and the feel and style of the website you are after. It can be good to have examples of other websites you like. There is no charge for this first call and meeting.

If you like the Proposal then we get going! When creating a new site you need content: snappy copy and lots of beautiful images. We will discuss who is going to generate the words and pictures. If needed, we can get the help of professional photographers to make your site look amazing. Clients often generate their own words but I am able to assist as needed.

I produce a first draft of the website. There is then a process of feedback and amendments, often involving a further meeting or two. At the end of the process we end up with a website you are happy with!
